Membership to Fitzroy Lodge ABC is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions
All users of the gym are required to register for an account to become a member
All users of the gym are required to read and accept the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree with and accept these terms and conditions you must not register as a member
Open gym sessions refer to individual training and classes refer to group training
Information about membership
- To participate in Fitzroy Lodge open gym sessions or classes you must register as a member on this website
- Due to our insurance those under the age of 10 years are not permitted to become a member or take part in training sessions or classes
- All open gym sessions and classes must be paid for and booked prior to participation
- Fitzroy Lodge does not accept cash payments
- On arrival at the gym, you are required to sign in with a coach
- Recreational boxers will need to purchase a single credit or a block of credits to book an open gym session or a class
- Competitive amateur boxers aged over 18 years are required to purchase a single session or purchase an unlimited package for a week, a month
- Competitive Junior boxers and junior recreational boxers (all gym users under the age of 18 years) are required to purchase a single session or purchase an unlimited package for a week or a month
- The price for a session and the price for a class is the same
- Concessions are made for recreational boxers between 18-24 years old, low income, the unwaged or retired
- Please contact the gym if your personal circumstances prohibit you from being able to cover the cost of an open gym session or class
- Only the account holder can book in for an open gym session or a class
- The weekly unlimited package lasts 7 days from the date of purchase
- The monthly unlimited package lasts 30 days from the date of purchase
- All block packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase
- Cancellation of a booked open gym session or class should be done at the latest 1 hour before the start time and you will be able to rebook
- No refunds will be given
- If you cannot attend a booked session please cancel as soon as possible to allow someone else to take the place
- Fitzroy Lodge ABC reserves the right to refuse access to the club and suspend or terminate your membership if we reasonably consider that your conduct is damaging to our reputation, is in breach of these Conditions or would negatively impact other users of the club
- Fitzroy Lodge ABC reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions will be effective after the change is published on this Website. You should check these before each purchase as they may have changed since your last visit

Fitzroy Lodge ABC is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that all its members, coaches, administrators and parents/guardians associated with the club should at all times show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Coaches and volunteers
- All Fitzroy Lodge ABC coaches and volunteers are DBS checked
- All Fitzroy Lodge ABC coaches and volunteers follow England Boxing’s coach and volunteers safeguarding guidance
Health and safety of all participants in open gym sessions, classes and amateur boxing which includes taking part in sparring.
Please read each statement carefully. To become a member of Fitzroy Lodge ABC you must agree with each statement. If you are under 18 years old a parent or guardian must agree to each statement on your behalf
- Members and Junior Amateur Boxers under the age of 18 years
- As parent/guardian you give the named young person permission to take part in boxing fitness training which includes exercises that build the cardiorespiratory system through aerobic activities.
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you understand that the reaction of heart, lung and the blood vessel system to exercise cannot always be predicted with accuracy. You understand that there is a risk of certain abnormal changes during or after exercise which may include abnormalities to blood pressure or heart attacks. Using weight lifting exercise and engaging in bodyweight conditioning may lead to musculoskeletal strains, pains and injury.
- As a parent/guardian of the named young person you understand that Boxing is a contact sport and training sessions may include sparring. Contact and non-contact boxing can result in injury and that the named child must use appropriate equipment such as headgear, gumshield, hand wraps and gloves when taking part in boxing drills or sparring.
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you understand that the boxing coach shall not be liable for any damages arising from personal injuries sustained by the person taking part in boxing training and activities related to boxing
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you understand that using exercise equipment belonging to Fitzroy Lodge is done so at their own risk
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you understand that as the client you assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages which may occur while attending the gym or during training
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you give permission for the named child to participate in boxing fitness training, including sparring when over seen by a qualified England Boxing Coach
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you will inform us of any health issues, allergies or challenges that might affect their participation eg. Asthma, eczema, learning difficulties, sensory impairment, physical disability
- As parent/guardian of the named young person you hereby fully and forever release and discharge Fitzroy Lodge ABC, its coaches and assistants, from all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, present and future. You understand and confirm, release and agree that the named young person is in good physical condition and that they have no disability, impairment or ailment preventing them from engaging in active or passive exercise that will be detrimental to heart, safety, or comfort or physical condition if they engage or participate (other than those items you have informed the coach of). You confirm that the named young person has had a recent physical check-up and that they have their doctor’s permission to engage in aerobic and/or anaerobic conditioning
- As parent/guardian you consent for the named young person to receive any emergency medical treatment required while taking part in an activity organised by Fitzroy Lodge ABC
- I have read the above information and understand it. Any questions which may have occurred to me have been answered to my satisfaction.
- Members and Senior Amateur Boxers 18 years +
- I understand that to take part in boxing fitness training includes exercises that build the cardiorespiratory system through aerobic activities.

- I understand that to take part in sparring it must be under the supervision of a qualified England Boxing Coach
- Please inform Fitzroy Lodge of any medical or health reason, allergies or challenges that might affect your participation in boxing activities or sparring eg. Asthma, eczema, learning difficulty, sensory impairment, physical disability
- I hereby fully and forever release and discharge Fitzroy Lodge ABC, its coaches and assistants, from all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, present and future. I understand and confirm, release and agree that I am in good physical condition and that I have no disability, impairment or ailment preventing me from engaging in active or passive exercise that will be detrimental to heart, safety, or comfort or physical condition if I engage or participate (other than those items I have informed the coach of). I confirm that I have had a recent physical check-up and that I have my doctor’s permission to engage in aerobic and/or anaerobic conditioning.
- I give consent to receiving any emergency medical treatment required while taking part in a boxing activity organised by Fitzroy Lodge ABC
- I have read the above information and understand it. Any questions which may have occurred to me have been answered to my satisfaction.
Liability
Fitzroy Lodge ABC will not accept liability for any damage or loss to a Participant’s personal property bought into the Club’s premises, or while travelling for competitions. All activities are taken at the participant’s own risk. Fitzroy Lodge ABC and its coaches shall not be liable for personal injury sustained by participants whilst on the premises, or while taking part in an activity organised by Fitzroy Lodge ABC away from the Club premises. Participants who suffer an accident or injury on the premises must report the accident or injury and the circumstances in which it occurred, to a Fitzroy Lodge coach immediately following the accident or injury
